Comeau's skills, his hunting and fishing exploits,and his knowledge of aboriginal culture formed the basis of thearticles he published in the National Geographic Magazine(Washington) and in Forest and Stream (New York). In 1909 hebrought out at Quebec the present autobiography which is full ofanecdotes and observations, including salmon fishing, trapping,the folklore of the Montagnais Indians, tales of adventure on thefringe of the Labrador Peninsula and his inventory of birds.
