Westwood & Satchell p187. An exceptionally fine copyof Salter's juvenile version of "The Angler's Guide, or Complete LondonAngler." (1814). A popular text, the book went through five editions by1841. Published "to enable the fishing-tackle dealers to sell at a smallprice to the novice in angling" (Preface) The frontis is illustrationsare of hooks baited for trolling. Includes a list of principal Englishrivers with the various kind of fish which they contain and a glossaryof technical terms used in angling. Very scarce.
