Her father was Edward Coy, the first Englishman to settle at that place. (MacFarlane. New Brunswick Bibliography. 1895, p14.). Contains some pre loyalist history but the autobiography leans on her religious experiences. A scarce and interesting insight into the early settlement of New Brunswick.

(Ds1). ~ A dogmatic Biblical study by 17th century Puritan clergyman and educator, John Brinsley (the elder). "The True Watch", was first published in two parts in 1615, the third part on Ezechial appeared in 1622, with the fourth ("to the plain hearted seduced by popery"), and final part, published in 1624.

Watters p.29. "These 'Psalms and Hymns and Spiritual Songs' were written amidst the various scenes of Missionary life, and intended to promote the work of piety in which the Missionary is engaged." (author's preface). Clergyman William Bullock (1797 1874) was an Anglican missionary for over 30 years in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia and was the first dean of diocese of Nova Scotia. Dedicated to The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts.

(Lt) A beautifully bound mid-19th century edition of the 1686 classic. With illustrations by H. Melville dated 1843 and one plate by Cruikshank (Vanity Fair). Engraved half-title by J.M.W. Turner and frontis portrait of John Bunyan by Derby with facsimile inscription. A beautiful example of nineteenth century fine binding and embellishment.
