Yale University Press. 1930.,  sm4to. 26cm, 82p., frontis and 1 plate, specifications, quarter tan lien backed blue paper over boards, with paper title label on front, black stamped spine title, light shelf wear, very good sound condition (ds1). ~ The Newberry Memorial Organ was built originally by the Hutchings Votey Company in 1902, rebuilt by Steere and Son in 1915, and enlarged and tonally reconditioned by the Skinner Company in 1928. Specifications are given for each period, examples exemplifying American organ building at its best. The organ is still functional and is one of the largest symphonic organs in the world comprising 166 stops and 12, 617 pipes.

(tr) Robert Gilfillan (7 July1798 4 December 1850) was a poet and songwriter, born at Dunfermline,Scotland, and latterly a collector of the police rates at Leith. He wrotea number of Scottish songs, and was favourably mentioned in NoctesAmbrosianae (see Wilson, J.). He was the author of the beautiful song,Oh, why left I my Hame? He published a 150-page book of songs in 1831,which garnered sufficient acclaim to spur publication of a longer versionin 1835, and another in 1839. (Wiki).
