Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue gives an Introduction as consulting architect of the Exposition. Carleton Monroe Winslow describes the architecture and the gardens. Clarence S. Stein provides an essay "A Triumph of the Spanish-Colonial Style". Photographs by Harold A. Taylor.

(N12) Frank Gowen, (1878-1946). Post-card Photographer. Born in the UK. He was active in Brandon, Man & Van-couver, 1914-1919. There is a business address for him at 1465 Broadway (1914-1916) & 719 W. Georgia St. (1917). He worked in Brandon, Manitoba, in 1907. By 1916 he was in partnership as Gowen & Stevens. He incorporated under the name Frank Gowen Co. Ltd. Gowen subsequently incorporated under the name Gowen Sutton Co. Ltd. Postcard historians, Fred Thirkell & Bob Scullion's. Frank Gowen's Vancouver (2001) examines Gowen's out-put as a post-card photographer.
