From the beginning heencountered the hostility of Louis Joseph Papineau, and the extremePatriotes, and in the famous Ninety-two Resolutions of 1834 the Assemblyof Lower Canada actually demanded his impeachment. Stories and essays from the Pontiac GameClub, established in 1898, in Pontiac county, near Sheenboro, Quebec,(opposite Pembroke, Ont), in the Laurentians. Undoubtedly it's mostfamous member was Frederic Remington, who, in turn, loved the place. Thetwo colour plates (one repeated on front of jacket) -entitled "PontiacGame Club, Canada" -were painted by Remington in 1909.
